New online casinos by country

9 Countries with a page on our list, each with the casinos that accept players there

Each country page ranks the casinos on our list that do not block that country, explains the law there and says how much risk you take by playing offshore.

The law differs far more than the casinos do. The same offshore brand can accept players from a country that licenses its own casinos and from one that prosecutes players, so read the law first.

Countries differ in law far more than casinos differ in games. Each country page on this site therefore opens with the law and then lists the casinos that accept players from that country.

Singapore's online casino status is Prohibited.

The governing law in Singapore is the Gambling Control Act 2022, cited as Act 15 of 2022.

The Singapore law came into force in 2022.

The minimum age for online gambling in Singapore is 21.

A country page answers three questions in order. It states whether the law permits online casino play. It states what happens if you play anyway. It lists the casinos on our list that accept that country.

How to read a country page

A country page on this site has four parts. The risk band states the legal status of online casino play in that country. The law block names the governing act, its dates and its penalties. The register lists new casinos that do not block the country. The payments block lists the deposit methods those casinos offer.

Each part answers a separate question. The risk band answers whether you may play. The law block answers what happens if you play anyway. The register answers which new casinos accept your country. The payments block answers how you would fund an account. The order of casinos on every page follows how we rank new casinos, and the legal question always comes before the commercial one.

Online casino law in Singapore

Singapore is the market this site is written for.

Singapore's online casino status is Prohibited.

Singapore's governing law is the Gambling Control Act 2022.

Singapore's licensing model is Prohibited.

A casino that accepts Singapore players is not a Singapore-licensed casino. Acceptance is a commercial decision made by the operator, and it carries no approval from Singapore authorities. A Singapore player should therefore treat every offshore casino as sitting outside the protection of a local licence. Before you register, read why new casinos ask for ID, because verification rules decide whether a withdrawal is paid.

Online casino status in other Asian countries

  • Malaysia's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • Indonesia's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • Japan's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • South Korea's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • China's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • India's online casino status is Prohibited.
  • The Philippines' online casino status is Legal.

The Philippines is the only Asian country in the table above with a licence route. A Philippine licence covers players inside the Philippines. It does not make a casino legal for a player in Singapore. The United Kingdom page shows what a fully licensed market looks like, which makes the Asian gap easier to see.

What "does not block your country" means

A casino that does not block a country accepts registrations from that country. It does not hold a licence there. The casino's own terms list the countries it refuses, and that list can change without notice.

A country page records which casinos accept that country when we check. The check reads our knowledge base and is not a first-hand test of registration.

Two reasons explain why a casino blocks a country. The first reason is a licence condition, because a licensing authority can forbid its licensees from serving certain countries. The second reason is commercial, because an operator may not support the currency or the payment methods of that country. Both reasons change over time, so a casino that accepts a country today may refuse it later.

The risk of playing at an offshore casino

Offshore play carries three separate risks. The legal risk is that the player may commit an offence under local law. The financial risk is that a bank or payment provider can block a deposit or a withdrawal. The dispute risk is that no local regulator can order the casino to pay a disputed balance.

These risks are why each country page states the law before it lists any casino. A bonus or a game library does not reduce any of the three.

Questions

Casinos by country: questions

Does a casino accepting my country make it legal?

No. Only your country's law decides that.

Is online casino play legal in Singapore?

No. Singapore licenses no online casinos, and playing with an unlawful remote operator is an offence under the Gambling Control Act 2022.

Which countries in Asia license online casinos?

Of the countries on our list, the Philippines, through PAGCOR.

How do I know which country page applies to me?

Use the page for the country where you are physically located when you play. The law of that country decides whether play is an offence. Your passport, your bank and your residency do not change that. The Asia table above lists the countries covered, and each country page lists the casinos that do not block it.

Why does the same casino appear on pages for different countries?

A casino appears on a country page when it does not block that country. The same offshore brand can therefore appear on several pages. Its appearance does not mean the casino is licensed in any of those countries. Each page states the legal status of its own country, so read the risk band before the casino list.

Is the minimum age the same in every country?

No. The minimum age for online gambling in Singapore is 21. Other countries set their own limits, and each country page states the limit that applies there.

What should I check before signing up at a new casino?

Check three things before you register. The first is the licence the casino states and the regulator named in its terms. The second is the country list in its terms, because a casino may refuse your country at withdrawal. The third is the bonus conditions. The guide to terms and conditions at new casinos explains the clauses that decide payouts.

Responsible gaming

Play only if you are 21+ and it stays fun

These rules apply on every page of this site. A young casino has less history to judge it by, so the limits matter more.

21+ only

Adults only, everywhere

You must be 21 or older, and older in some countries. A casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal, and new casinos often do.
